Frame element, end release

Updated:

Problem. When the rotation at an element end is released, the condensation is applied to both the stiffness matrix and the load vector. The reactions and the fixed-end moment of a propped beam under distributed load are tested.

Reference document. The classical solution of a propped cantilever is used.

In a beam fixed at one end and simply supported at the other, the support reactions and the fixed-end moment take these values.

Ra=5wL8,Ma=wL28,Rb=3wL8R_{a} = \dfrac{5wL}{8},\qquad M_{a} = \dfrac{wL^2}{8},\qquad R_{b} = \dfrac{3wL}{8}

Numerical model. A single frame element is used. Both ends are fully fixed and the bending rotation of the element is released at the right end.
